I’m proud to announce I’ll be conducting a demonstration for the Batavia Society of Artists on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at 7pm at GO ART! Click here for additional details. Hope to see you there!
On May 24th, I did 3 demonstrations for 5th Graders at the Eastman Durand School in E. Irondequoit. They were the shortest demos I’ve ever done, there’s only so much you can do in 45 minutes! I had fun interacting with the kids, and found a young sibling of my daughters best friend. We lived 2 streets away and moved to Chili in 2001. It was sad and happy, I have veyr fond memories of the neighborhood and great neighbors, like Cindy and Rich Bailey!
I will be doing a demo at the Canal Days Festival this weekend, June 4-5th, 2011 in Fairport. i’m not which date and time but I’ll keep you posted! Stop by, my booth is #262, come out an dhave some fun!

Introduction to Colored Pencil Drawing
(Free Demo at Senior Center Jan.20 at 11am)

Focus on one drawing while exploring different Colored Pencils – including watercolor pencil -and techniques.

Introduction to Sculpture I & II
with Katherine Weston
Sundays: Jan.23-Feb.6 and Jan.13-27 3:00-4:30
$45 for each 3-session class—sign up for one or both.
I. Learn how to make a wire and decorative paper fish that can stand alone, hang with friends as a mobile or even be used as a small lamp.
This technique can be used to make any 3D form as well as much larger sculptural elements that are quite lightweight.
II. This is another technique that is more architectural in nature. We will use chipboard and plaster as the basis of our Huge Letter Sculpture then decorate it with paints, papers and collage. This is a good technique for a stand alone sculpture that needs some weight.

Henrietta Art Club
Monday, September 27, 2010 at 7pm.
The meeting will take place at the Henrietta Town Hall, 475 Calkins Rd, Rochester, NY. I will be demonstrating techniques on mounting Arches paper or any type of watercolor paper to an Ampersand Board. For reference, check out my “Gallery”. “Grand opening” and “Magenta” are both mounted on an Ampersand Board. I love the look because it gives the piece a nice gallery wrap presentation and it’s a lot easier on the pocketbook. I Hope you can join us!
Thank you to all the wonderful members of the Henrietta Art Club, great audience, keep up the great work!
