“Iris III”, 16×12″, Watercolor on Ampersand Claybord

Part 3 of series of Iris paintings, focused on the color purple, yet each painting is distinct in it’s palette choice. This iris grows in the front of my house, these bricks are in front of the living room, it gets alot of shade from a large matured tree. This iris blooms to a very deep blueish-purple color, absolutely stunning!
Not for sale, will be at a nature exhibit “Thyme in Garden” at the Yates County Arts Center exhibit from 5/18-6/16/12. I will also teach a 3-day watercolor workshop from 6/6-6/8/12. For more information about the workshop click here!
