“Iris II”, 6×12″, Watercolor mounted on an Ampersand Claybord

The smallest watercolor painting I have ever done, yet powerful enough to win a Juror’s Award! They say great things come in small packages. A real close up view of a yellow iris, I focused on a double complementary palette and a simple composition.

Not for sale, will be at a nature exhibit “Thyme in Garden” at the Yates County Arts Center exhibit from 5/18-6/16/12. I will also teach a 3-day watercolor workshop from 6/6-6/8/12. For more information about the workshop click here!
